Help! BM3 Stg2+ E50 log review. HPFP issues?

Car is feeling weak after new stg 2+ e50 tune and upgrade HPFP.

Ran a 3rd and 4th log pull today after changing plugs, coils, and installing new Bosch B58TU HPFP. Log shows massive deviation from target boost. Also upgraded HPFP doesn't appear to be keeping up.

Could you please review and give input?

Appreciated. This is good info to have.

I wonder why hpfp underperformed in 3rd, but was good in 4th.

What is the release date of this map, 12/14 or 12/28? I had the same fuel crash with the TU pump on the 12/14 map. I might have been running too much E, maybe E52ish. I am running E47 fuel and I am not seeing the same drop (only down to 2500 or so), and timing is still good. I have not run the 12/28 map yet.

Also, I see less boost in cooler conditions, I saw your IAT at 60 and coolent temp at 172, that might be why you see less boost.

He needs to log a lot more RAM channels for us to determine that. The only way he'd see less boost, is if he was hitting load targets. But he has a 4.5 PSI deviation in 4th gear. That's quite a bit. Yes the air is more dense in colder weather, but he's in Texas like me. It's not like we're seeing 20 degree or cooler temps consistently.

Running 12/28 map. Ambient Temp was 40F today.

Fuel is likely just high of E50. Probably E52 from Calc.

Was just under 40 degrees today. Pump was able to keep up in 4th gear.

-3rd gear fuel pressure is wrong
-4th gear boost just plummets top end

Thanks for input. I'll siphon some fuel out of tank and test. Still don't understand hpfp 3rd vs 4th

I would try running less E content, mine with TU pump was better at E47, kept up. Just watch timing to see if it suffers. I also think the cooler weather and the stock turbo tends to run out of puff up top, mine doesn't hit targets either, I'm in AZ, cooler now here too.

Below is an E50 map, I'm running e48 for fuel in cooler temps. In looking at my logs, i'm not hitting boost targets up top in cooler weather. HPFP is much better at E48 versus E50 fuel. I have not run the 12/28 map yet, I think they made an adjustment for the HPFP to keep up.

I appreciate the comparison. Looks like TU pump still struggling low end, huh?

I reduced boost target by 15% in 1st through 6th and it's running great. This has to be a lack of fueling exaggerated by denser air. I regret not splurging on the dorch stg2.

By the way, the anti-siphon on these bmws is top notch. Haha. Could not test my fuel to compare to blend Calc.

Thanks for the help. Will run log with lower boost target to confirm fueling issue. Might just drop to E30 stg2+ until I snag a dorch.
