I know that feeling my friend..... and it's not good.

It's like when you were a kid, and at the end of the six week summer holidays you had to go back....

Landed back from NYC this morning after a fab 5 days away. And having only had 4 days holiday last year, it was well needed.

Dreading going back to reality tomorrow.

I've been off since 22nd Dec and going back on the 8th Jan - really not looking forward to it. They also announced redundancies at the start of December as a nice Christmas 'gift' to their UK staff so got that to look forward to!

That said, they're so obsessed with offshoring work that the UK company gets, it's little surprise - think this is the 14th or 15th round of redundancies they've had in as many years. Happy New Year!

I'm back to a slow start tomorrow but feel really energised and ready to make 2018 a big one!

January consists of Amsterdam next week and Prague the week after - wife joining for the weekend.

February may be Rome and Madrid so not all bad really.

Been at work every day of the holidays.

It's been brilliant without the majority of the staff there.
I'm dreading them returning tomorrow.

Back tomorrow but WFH next three days and only a few meetings to dial in to, so easing in to it.
Feeling quite happy to be getting back to it.

Been off since the 19th. I’m looking forward to going back, the commute kills me, crossing the landing to my office - the joys of being a home worker!
Got a few big projects kicking off this year

Back tomorrow but only for 2 days then off again for five including the weekend. Last year was so nuts that I have loads of carried over leave to burn before March.

Please don't remind me. I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Aghhhh

Christmas was a little ruined this year as the wife has had that really bad flu thing going around. She's had it since boxing day and still not right.

We are off to Dubai on holiday over Easter which I'm really looking forward to already!!

The weather did define our trip a bit... especially with a four year old. A few locals said it was among the coldest they'd ever known. Still fun though - remind me closer to your trip and I'll send you some recommendations. It's a truly awesome city and I say that as someone who has been more times than I can remember.

Back tomorrow after being off since the 22nd. Seems to have gone really quick this year but reckon it's because Christmas was a Monday, then Boxing Day Tuesday so by the time the festivities are over the week has half gone. Oh well not dreading work but would have loved the rest of this week too.

It's quite busy out this way - will you be OK?

What's the itinerary/show?

Hindsight makes the weather for our Christmas trip in 2015 better. We were disappointed, wanting snow etc. What we actually got was 20 degrees Celsius on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, not much cooler the rest of the time. Warmest on record for NYC. We went up the Empire State in t shirts at 9pm on Christmas Day.

We had a 3 and a half year old with us, he didn't complain about the weather once. I guess if we'd had the snow we'd have been happy for a couple of hours and then miserable the rest of the time.
