I just installed some black/smoked gts tails from vland on Amazon and for some reason the sequential turn signals aren’t working. Has anyone experienced this?

Hey.

Id does look like you have acquired a Version 2 of the tail lights.

Also, I've read somewhere that nowadays there are more than 2 Versions of lights' animation (red scales and turn signals at LOCK/UNLOCK) available and it could very much be that you have version that does not have the sequential turns hard coded into the lights. This sequential function is hard wired into the lights and can not be "activated" through car via Bimmercode and such.

I reached out to vland and they told me there’s a plug in the back of each tail light that I can unplug in order to enable sequential signals. Graphic provided below. I’m still suffering from residual frustration from the first install, so I’ll probably wait a little while before wanting to pull them back out again lol.

Did this resolve the sequential indicator issue? I’m having the same issue but removing those two white tabs only enabled the “startup sequence” for the running lights.

White tabs? They should be actual plugs

I recently purchased the same tail lights. I reached out and sent the same image. This was the cause that made the indicators not sweeping.
