ZF8HP-45 swap with ZF8HP-50 ??
Hi all,
I have an F31 2014 320ed N47T with ZF8HP gearbox which shifts like crap when cold 2/3/4 . I went to few shops to diagnose and they said it costs me 3,5k euro to rebuild the gearbox because valve body is faulty and they suspect that the torque converter is bad too. To avoid paying that much  , i have to replace the entire gearbox with one from a parted car.( 600 - 800 eur ).My question is, did someone replaced ZF8HP-45 with the newer model ZF8HP-50 on this model? Are they the same? Will it fit? I would prefer the 8HP-50 model because is the 2.0 version of this gearbox with some updates. Thank you in advance, Cristian |
