Any chance you can share the upgrades with us? Im just excited since the GM of iOS 12 was dropped yesterday and I will be placing my order for the MMI after payday.

I tested Google Maps against the BimmerTech CarPlay MMI box on the way to work yesterday and it worked great! Can’t wait to try Waze when it comes out.

Waze working really well considering that is still beta... here a picture with some details.

Definitely may have to pull the trigger once Waze releases and this upgrades to full screen. Is there any potential for this retrofit being wireless in the future?

Tested out the BimmerTech box with Waze this morning - it's awesome! Much better than Apple or Google Maps. Display is good on the BimmerTech box. Very much looking forward to a widescreen update but well worth it without it.

How long does it take to boot up to the carplay menu after the initial startup? I am using Android HU now and the boot time is too long.

And is it compatible with BMW F20 (MY13, CIC_ENTRY + LVDS 6Pin 6.5", AUX + BT)?

I’d say within 5 seconds. By the time you’ve plugged your phone in etc it’s all ready to go, I’ve never felt like I’ve been waiting.
