Bootmod3... finally!
Just picked up a used license...
Ordered an enet cable and 50ft ethernet cable extension so I dont have to move my router closer to the car. I assume this is all I need to get going? Plan is to run Stage 1, 91 octane tune for a couple months at least. Then buy the additional map pack for $50. Reading through the lines... it seems that there is no way to get a datalog unless I purchase the mobile agent device? Either that or have my laptop tethered to a cellphone? Am I missing anything? Appreciate any thoughts or comments. Probably wont get things set up until this weekend at earliest. |

I'm old school. I just connect my laptop and drive with it in the passenger seat with the cable going across my lap.

The first time you connect, you'll need internet connection to verify your credits, VIN, etc. And usually if I'm in my garage flashing and stuff, I keep the internet connected as much as possible so everything is instant. But for logging, it stores all of the data in the OBD Agent software. Then when I get back home, my computer reconnects to the internet and the OBD agent automatically uploads my logs. Just make sure you log in offline mode before logging. |

Finally, congrats!
Sounds like you've got all you need to get going: a license, eNet cable and a place to flash with an internet connection. I don't have the agent and don't think it's really all that necessary, it's just nice to have. Like Kern said, I just plug my laptop into the OBDII with the eNet cable and log like that, my laptop sitting in the passenger seat. You can log in offline mode, so you can drive around with no internet connection and still datalog, just make sure you select offline mode before logging. It will record the data from the log and temporarily store in the agent app that you'll download onto your computer, and then when you reestablish an internet connection, it will automatically upload the log to your account. EDIT: realize he beat me to the explanation. You get the idea

Beautiful, thanks guys. Looking forward to getting things set up.
Ill post a log here for review. What are the ideal parameters for a "good log" to be analyzed? Time elapsed, RPM range, speed range, etc. |

Just asking because we have an extra resonator that may make mine sound different than an N20 (with catless DP). |

Same with us in Cali.
There definitely is 93 / racing fuel around but not in places that I can get it regularly. I can only imagine what they would charge considering quality 91 is $4.30 per gallon |

If it's the former, the BM3 default setting includes everything important and then some. Just make sure the very basics; , engine speed, vehicle speed, MAP psi, AFR, timing, and fuel pressures are logged, but it should do that by default. I also check off oil pressure, not sure why they don't include that in the default list...

Nice! Welcome to the fold dude! Stage 1 is a huge improvement over stock. I found that my car was pretty picky with where I filled up on ACN91 after I went stage 2 so something to keep note of when you're filling up. I end up filling at the Shell near me with new tanks but its around 4.60 a gal these days and rising
Feel free to post your logs after you take some and we can all take a look. Looking forward to your thoughts after you flash stage 1!
