Diverter valve fault code
Just installed the GFB DV+ and I'm now getting a fault code from the DME saying
"122108 - Blowoff Valve: Jammed Closed" Has anyone else had this issue after upgrading their dv?? |

yes, there are a bunch of threads explaining this--not really a big deal. If you dont want the code, you can always switch your spring back to the stock one.

Gotcha. I didn't really search before I posted this, I didn't know if it was a problem since it wasn't a shadow code.

Ive been running the GFB DV+ for a year or so with aftermarket spring installed and have never seen this error.
I scan my car for codes weekly. |

Do remember when I initially installed mine... there was a point when it felt like it was just kinda "sitting" or "balancing" against/inside the turbo...
Did not feel snug or firmly seated which was a bit unsettling. Of course once I bolted it down that changed but initially I was nervous it "would fall in." Just thinking out loud here... |

I would watch a video of the prepping before install for the DV+ and see if there was a step missed. It might ring a bell. Had mine for about 6months and have not seen this code.

Did you oil the piston?

I have noticed when I drive now it feels a bit jerkier because i feel as if it's not opening right therefore letting the boost out.
It also makes a noise like its surging. I remember installing a BOV on my N54 a few years back and the spring was too heavy and it made the same noise it's making now in my F30 cause it wasn't opening letting all the air out. I switched to a lighter spring and it solved my problem. I guess I'll have to take it apart again today and figure out what it is |

I think it's an important step, I'm not sure if the mechanic that did my PS2 install did it (and he's quite an asshole to work with or ask questions to), so I'm taking mine apart today and checking it over.
I haven't had any codes, but I do notice a lack of DV sound when I pull off the gas, I'm not sure if that's just a side effect of the DV+ though.
