BMS Charge pipe is for the E chassis only, will not fit your car.

BMS offers the ER on their website for the F-series, so its the same one. The other one for the N55 is for the E-series

+1

BMS does not make an F-series CP.

I did it with floor jacks.

I also have a 2014 335 xDrive. Bought evolution race works Chargepipe. High quality craftsmanship. Good instructions, but it estimated a 1.5 hour install....

I'm no certified BMW mechanic, but am relatively mechanically-inclined and have been installing bolt-on mods on my various BMW's and Porsches for years.

Took me WAY more than 1.5 hours, and skinned my knuckles all to hell, as you're working in such a confined space. To give me more space, I ended up removing the intercooler, air intake and airbox.

I would allot 4-6 hours if you are of medium mechanical skill. And this is if you have a stock intercooler. The ER Chargepipe didn't fit my Wagner comp intercooler, so I ended up doing a hillbilly and temporary fix to mate it to the IC.

Sorry for the long post, but hope it can help set your expectations. Happy to answer any questions so folks can learn from my experience.

Just a note that the Wagner FMIC does not use OEM spec plumbing, which is what causes the issues when installing an aftermarket charge pipe.

The XI I believe is a little more involved then the non-XI as its a special charge pipe with different routing then the RWD one.

What's with BMW and using plastics for engine components? Valve cover, charge pipe, what else?

For a car with just MPE and MPPK, is the charge pipe susceptible to failure as well?

I have seen the charge pipes fail even on stock boost, so i would say yes MPPK will put more pressure on a already weak CP which might cause it to fail

Most likely weight and cost of production..

Charge Pipe fail on stock cars and tuned cars. They just fail. We ship out a couple a week overnight to customers who are stranded as their pipe failed in a bad way.

The general rule would be the more boost you run the higher the chance of failure.

Hi guys, do you guys recommend replacing the boost pipe in combination with the charge pipe? Or just the charge pipe sufficient?

Just charge pipe unless you are planning on upgrading the turbo anytime soon.

I doubt there'll be any gain, perhaps 1-2 hp?? Change your charge pipe more to do with reliability concern over stock CP. mine blow up twice since i upgrade to speedbuster piggyback. Took it to bmw dealer for warranty replacement, but to my surprise the just epoxy glued back my CP....... what an As*hole.....

Get ER Charge pipe, good quality and price.

Get the charge pipe ASAP... don't be like me....

My car is sitting in the garage with a broke charge pipe

I might try using clamps and duct tape to hold until I get a new one in the mail since it's my daily but don't be like me and wait too long

Be careful with that! Now that it's broken the duct tape will keep broken pieces in the charge pipe and can do damage potentially. Just pay for overnight shipping and get back on the road!

From my experience from working at BMW. A lot of guys who have no interest in modding the car at all still get upgraded charge pipes due to the failure of stock ones. I will always recommend doing it.

I've search and am not having a lot of luck for my application.

Today I received my VRSF Chargepipe Upgrade Kit 12-17 BMW M2/M135i/M235i/335i/435i & XI F20 & F30 N55 but have come across an issue with my application.

I've attached a picture, and can only assume the 'what is this??' I have in the mark up to be where a BOV would mount? Can someone confirm or help me understand what this port is for?

My N55 stock Charge Pipe does not have this port.

Wow..baffling. Waiting to see the answer on that. Why don't you ask Tiago@VRSF about it.
