Goal is to lower it ~2 inches this weekend. I'll post pics after. I couldn't see anyone hating on it after that.
Can't wait to see pics !

I subscribe to the notion that if something flies like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
Then your definition of "wagon" is so broad you'd classify a goose as a duck too. Heck, I guess that makes all of the BMW X-line wagons too...

Geese don't quack.
Whether the X are wagons or SUVs technically depends if they're built on a car chassis or a truck chassis. I suspect car chassis, since BMW doesn't make a pickup truck chassis...yet. Call them what you will, their heritage is quite clear:

The best BMW I have owned. It is strange that many other brands produce copies. MB, Audi, Alfa R and others. On the other hand, at least 19 "is required to lift cars back. I sat first in the driver's seat, which felt like a 420 except I was sitting higher, then I tested the back seat, where there was more space than a 5-Series. Then I opened the luggage compartment , It was more than 320 Touring, I got the keys in my hand for a test run and sold it. The car goes like a dream and the space is huge. If I had chosen 420, I would have regretted it. The car is really beautiful. Just realize that the car is really special.

Easy Driver

Hi, for me, it's a great everyday car when we leave the 435 M Sport at home. I can put dogs in the boot, I have x-drive - very important in N Wales where the rain is predictable, and although ours is a 320, it does seem quicker. I think the all wheel drive puts it on the road during everyday driving. Ok, the 4 has better interior and multimedia, but, for a nip to Tesco's, who cares? Finally, rant nearly over, this car has looked after me in a couple of squeaky occasions, and I love it for that. If I want the G-force, we have the other car, if I want to get on with every day stuff, I can jump in the GT and it's easy (both are auto). Thanks all.

The only place I've ever encountered haters is here. The only reaction I've ever received from people who see mine is envy.

Very true, I’ve had driver in way more pricey cars pay me compliments on the GT.

Go to any local car show and look around. The cars are all different, yet the owners took the time and spent the money to make them look as best as they could. Point is, if you like it, go for it. Ignore the haters.

My 2017 340 GT

Needed a car to haul my drum set around very quickly LOL. With seats down my entire kit fits with plenty of room to spare...Other musicians can't believe it when I pull up. Had the rear windows tinted, MP tune, DP and intake. It is crazy fast but of course it doesn't handle like an M2 but that's not what I use it for. Even bought a snow tire and wheel package from Tire Rack. Car goes in any weather with a smooth and silent ride, fits 4 people in complete comfort and is fast as hell in all conditions. The added bonus is the much smoother less jarring ride due to the longer wheel base and increased ground clearance. Our roads suck in the Northeast and I'm glad I bought this instead of a regular 3 series.

Love the screen name since you're a drummer.

So, Neil Peart or John Bonham? Where does Keith Carlock fall in the drummer top 10?

Never saw Bonham (I've seen Peart and Carlock multiple times) but there's a youtube video explaining his genius a bit and wish I had. Mind blown. Video: More than just percussion

Back to the thread: Nice to know the GT can haul a drum kit. I won't be hauling one (trumpet instead), but I do have a lot of stuff to shuttle around.

Hauling music equipment was a major requirement for me too. I really wish I would have looked a bit more into the 4GC, but when I tried to fit myself in the back seat (pretty fit 6'2"), I basically couldn't deal with adults not being comfortable in the back seat.

I have hauled my 88 key stage piano (in case), stand, amp, girlfriend in front seat and dog in the back seat with one of the seats folded down to fit the keyboard to a Chicago street festival and back. Not many sedans could handle that.

So? No worse, and IMO a lot better, than 99 out of 100 SUVs, which to my eye are toasters on wheels.

I'd say most of the hate is targeted towards the 5 GT and the 3 GT is sort of lumped in with it.

I also see a lot of hostility towards anything that's not a sedan/coupe. SUVs are all the rage now and I think that's ruffling a lot of feathers.

That said, everyone I've talked to is either lying or genuinely likes the car.

IMO, it's gorgeous from every angle and I much prefer it to my last car (328i sedan). It just has a certain punch and a presence that is matched by very few cars in its class. Especially in Estoril Blue with the M Sport wheels etc...

That's not even mentioning the added space in the back that makes the rear seats/legroom and cargo space much more usable.

To anyone considering the F34, take a seat in the back and compare it to a regular 3 series.

Drive Whatever You Like

The beauty of an automobile or anything else for that matter is a subjective topic. I don't allow the opinions of others to influence my purchasing decisions in that regard. I recently purchased my GT after a lot of research and comparisons with cars in and out of its class. Ultimately the GT met my needs, because IMO it exudes enough beauty in its form while providing sporty and practical functionality at a good value.
