2k13 335xi Having Heating Problems..?

So it's 45 degrees everyday and getting colder and colder.

I turn the heater on. it's always 74-75 on the driver side and 77-78 on the passenger side.

the red/blue dial is always on red.

But for some reason, the passenger side blows out colder air(right center vent and door window vent)....this is the 3rd day it's done this.

What's the problem!? this is my first bimmer

seems like I have this problem too. For me, the single vents usually blows hotter air and the middle one blows colder air. what I did is turn all degree to max heat and then tone it down once all blows hot air

Worst case scenario (pita to fix) is a partially blocked heater core, have you had any issues with coolant contamination or incompatible coolant types etc? Other reasons can be temp sensor issues or that the internal flaps that direct the airflow are not moving to correct position. With BMW specific tools get fault codes read and monitor the temp sensor readings and flap positions.

Dude I thought I was crazy when this was happening in my car. And it becomes super obvious when you use the defrost of the windshield... and the driver's side of the window becomes clear, but the passenger doesnt lmao.

My dealership replaced the heater core last year and it still had the same stupid issue. My car was in the dealer for about 2 weeks as they were trying to diagnose it / didnt care about it. So after I got the car back I just didnt care since it's rarely cold here in florida.
