I hope that you can help me. Edit: I found a instruction ... and it works thanks a lot for your help. Now I could code the EGS with 2TB. But unfortunately the paddles don't work. Tomorrow I will chef if the wire to the FEM is installed or not. Last edited by ak-x-34; 01-21-2018 at 09:08 AM.. |

Due to the fact that I am very impatient, a few minutes ago I have checked if the wire from FEM to the steering wheel is in place. And the wire is allrady installed at the FEM.
Now I really don't know why the paddles didn't work. I change 205 to 2TB in VO write new VO to the car and code EGS / Kombi and ICM. Is it nessacary to code FEM_Body too? |

does anyone know if the gearstick is plug and play? i bought one on eBay off a breakers, from RHD and it won't work when i plugged it in and screwed it down. cam up with unable to change transmission error on dash. it also feels like it's maybe from a lad as the ergonomics of it feel wrong. my old car had the sports transmission, same gearstick and it felt different ergonomically.

No. I just know how to do it with E-sys. I never use phone apps.

Yes I know that. I will re-phrase -
As I have my laptop connected (doing the EBT), is it worth VO coding the gearbox mod. OR as I have already FDL coded it with the options below, is there no point? EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv EGS/3000 Applikation -> LC -> aktiv |

I use VO coding when adding or removing factory options as well as let E-sys figure out the details and do the work. If already coded, there is no advantage to re-doing other than practice. I never write FA changes to VCM, so VO appears factory at dealership. |

Hi All,
Some questions from my end. I have an F30 (2016) with the automatic transmition (not the sport one) and I DO NOT have the paddles! But I have Sport+ already enabled in my car from the manufacturer without 2TB in my FA. Now. I am in the process of adding myself the Paddles but I was thinking to enable the Sport Transmition before paddles. So if I have read through the thread correctly, I wont need to do any FA/VO coding and only do FDL coding: EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv EGS/3000 Applikation -> LC -> aktiv And once I install the paddles I will also have to add: FEM_BODY => PADDLES_VERBAUT = aktiv My questions: 1. I do not have the 2TB. I looked through my FA and I have the 205 instead of 2TB. Should I add it as I already have Sport+? 2. If I add the Sport transition is there any change of doing any mechanical damage or long term harm? or is it just a software change? 3. My BMW is a diesel one. Not sure if makes any difference. Thanks Last edited by analizer; 03-02-2018 at 06:36 AM.. |

Glad I found this thread. No more worrying about my engine blowing up when it should just change the gear already! Always hated how it likes to rev for a long time before shifting but now it’s so smooth it feels like a normal car.
