Hi, one of my few posts. Anyone had an issue with their idrive control, mine needs a forceful press to engage. Anyone know of a non dealership fix? F30 2017. Thanks. 🙏🏻

Does anyone know how to re-enable the knob back to its former responsive glory?

Strangely enough, that's exactly what my Mrs calls me

My iDrive control has been the same for a long time. I find in warmer temperatures it works completely fine. It could be dirt/grime underneath the knob that needs cleaning. I had a similar experience with my previous E82 1 series and it worked fine after my detailer gave everything a good clean.

I had my prostate removed in January, and that’s what I’ve been left with now 😂

If I yank it, is there a risk of irreparable damage to the base?
