Adaptive LED headlight issue
Hi all,
Noticed tonight the inner part isn't lit. Any thoughts? Rest are all fine. Checked Real OEM for parts but couldn't really figure out what exactly I need. |

Have you got anyway of checking for fault codes? I guess could be a failed module, or the light itself has failed.
Fingers crossed for you that it's not the light - or you have warranty! |

Thanks JimmyJab340 I have bimmerlink so will plug it in and check for any codes. Have BMW extended warranty so covered (minus the excess!)

We had one of ours fail last year, kept getting a "Headlight Right Failure' message every time the main lights came on. Ran Bimmerlink and it had thrown up all sorts of error codes (but I've since deleted the photos, so can't offer them up to you!) Long story short, light and modules change under extended warranty. Service guy at BMW reckoned invoice total would be pushing £3000! |

So with the lights on manual setting, it's all fine. It only goes off when lights are on Automatic setting. So assuming it is a anti-dazzle feature etc. And used the warranty last year. Rear shock absorber was leaking badly and failed MOT. Had to have both replaced. Parts alone were £900 each plus labour so the warranty definitely helped. |
