Very true! Otherwise the booking it in, waiting, driving home is a PITA.

You mean at the end of Friday and go thrashing about all weekend. Although I'm always a bit apprehensive turning in my 2014 model to receive a brand spanking new 2022 model

I got it simply because peace of mind of changing oil from dealership. Did one and two remaining, due for an oil change in december. I will say a decent deal from dealer, get it.

I have been returning used oil for a refund from fcp for awhile with no issues.

I got the same mailer from bmw. The fine print says car has to have over 60k or something. I’m only at 32k. Oil change interval is every 6 months for me. About to order more from fcp to do oil changes on my car and my daughter’s car before winter.

It's almost as if reading and comprehension has been tossed out the window entirely. YES EVERYTHING THEY SELL. Or, do as I said and go check their site for all relevant info.
If it didn't cost as much in customs as it did for the oil, I can't imagine why everyone in Canada didn't already use their service.

How much do you pay to ship the oil to FCP?

Yes with fcp euro it's free but you DIY and pay shipping. Also car parts.com has the same lifetime warranty since February. So $199 for 3 years not a bad deal but it's only when the CBS says to do an oil changes which can be anywhere from 6k to 10k miles or 1 year.

Not sure where anyone thought FCP did the work for you? Changing your oil takes like 30 mins and you can do it as often as you'd like this way. By the time you drive to the dealer, check in, get car serviced, you could have had it done twice over at home in the driveway.

As I said, it's about $20 to ship the oil back to FCP through UPS or FedEx or if you buy the oil with paypal, use the paypal return policy and it's free to ship it back...

I did the $199 deal on my N55 X3, whoever said it is right there's quite a bit of paperwork involved. After doing my research online and KNOWING my car qualified they told me that it did NOT qualify when I got there. I asked them to check again and what do you know it does qualify (MY2016 ~48k miles at the time)

The car must be 60 months old OR have over 60k miles... this is the key. I checked the first box, so I didn't need to check the second. Also, the car can't be more than 20 years old.

When I got the car back it said 8k miles till next oil change.

Yeah but you get pampered with free loaner car and someone else does the work rather than sweating under your car. Forgot about PayPal return policy maybe I should try that next time for my brake rotors.

My car has 95k miles and qualifies. It is out of warranty. Try another dealer.

I think you're quoting the wrong person as what I said is consistent with what you are saying.

A simple "NO" goes a long way at the dealer.
If you're the type to get dominated by a sales person then yeah maybe you'll get talked into something.
