If anything, I find some of the delivery a bit wooden at times, like the characters being adopted are not quite in sync with the presenter's real character (and they are/were mainly presenters, as opposed to actors) hence why Matt and Paddy (as the actors) seem more natural, as they can act, also...

Agreed, old "new" TG with CHM was very scripted, they just got better and better at timing and remembering their lines and eventually made it look like 3 great friends having a laugh and cocking about, that's not easy to fake.

I think they are doing pretty well so far.

Just watched first 2 episodes and was pleasantly surprised. The electric shock one made me laugh out loud which is rare for top gear!
As normal interview bit is skipped but bodes well
