Quick update. I just reached my office and I popped the hood again and didn't smell anything this time. Maybe yesterday it was the parts burning off any chemicals? I just want to make sure that the pipe is not rubbing into any pulleys. At idle I don't hear anything funky or weird noises from inside or outside the car with the hood popped as well.

Could probably do a 30° reducer, if anyone finds one, definitely let me know, I'll buy it and try it out. Would like to get the intake "up" a bit more vs. "down"...obviously I had to trim my silicone adapter on both ends carefully to get it to fit.
How much did you have to trim off the silicone adapter?

Thank you,
Jeff
