Indeed, had you been in for a Tudor sub (Rolex case and crown) a few years ago then yes, and of course the collectors are already in.

The smart money has already invested, it's just the mugs that are left now that the bubble has reached a certain point in the curve.

I've got a black bay Steel and Gold and I love it! Tudor has long since moved from simply a Rolex sub brand, and offer arguably a slightly more contemporary interpretation of some of the Rolex watches.

I'm unsure if value, how they'll hold up because simply, I bought the watch to enjoy though I'm lead to believe that they will hold reasonably well.

the movement is ace to be fair and the casing is top quality, it's my go to choice if we're going anywhere 'nice' or I have a big work meeting.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I appreciate this a luxury purchase - not the best way to use money!

But been a tough year for me. Leaning to this one. Not a great picture as it still had face protection sticker on.

Really wish I didn't like cars and watches......

Have been looking at the Tudor range. Tempted to get the Pelagos in black. Bit worried it could be looked at as "the poor man's Rolex", but also wondering if it could see price rises in the future as the waiting list is about 12 months. Would love a Rolex, but just can't justify the cost.

Has anybody got any experience of the Tudor range?

Thanks in advance.
Buy a watch that you truly love for you. I will say most people probably won’t notice the 10k watch on your wrist from the $300 one. Plus, buying a watch for a want in appreciation is not why you should justify buying the watch. If it works out great but that is not going to be the case most of the time, even with Rolexes.

Is that this years Baselworld offering?

I just can't get on with anything they launched this year, looks-wise.

Yes, I can see what you mean.

My head is still saying the GMT.

They're an excellent choice

If you're not buying on holiday, I can recommend Laing's in Argyll Arcade, Glasgow. There is a smaller shop at one end that I dealt with as opposed to the 'main' store in the arcade. They were up front from the beginning about waiting lists and number of people on their list. I left 20% deposit and waited 2 months.

Thanks for the tip. I popped in there today. The guy was really helpful.

He showed me the Black Bay Fifty Eight. Its a wee bit smaller and fitted like a glove! Too many choices! Third world problems!!!

I had the "regular" Black Bay in red and blue on a few times as nobody had a GMT to try

From memory, there was little difference on price from that to GMT so the GMT made even more sense (man maths!)
