Just browsing the connected drive store and it's offering me 12 months connected music for £1!! Surely a misprint?

Mine shows £1 for 1 month and £160 for a year. How are you getting £69?

Same for me but when I log in, only the £160 option is available... Swear it was £120 for 12 months yesterday

£120 was the "black Friday" offer price which has now ended, it's back up to standard price of £160 for 12 months.

Ahh that would explain it then, thanks.

Wondering how much the quality differs from streaming via bluetooth vs using Deezer app via iDrive?

My 2014 car only has an inbuilt 3G SIM card I believe so I can't see how I could stream music, even though it says it is available for my car. If it manages, it is bound to be lower quality than streaming on my 4G mobile. At some point (the July 2015 LCI?) they upgraded to 4G SIMs, but for those of us with 3G, I can't see this being any good.

Looks like Connected Music and Online Entertainment are two different things on mine. It says Connected Music isn't available for my car, but Online Entertainment is.

I have the 3G SIM as I dont have enhanced bluetooth and it's is fine for high quality music, it can download tracks much faster than the music plays so no issues with quality or buffering. You can watch good quality video over 3G and that's much higher file sizes.

It will say that date until you activate the service in the car, then it will update to the correct date.

Mine is 2014 too - I'd like to do a test with the one month trial but don't have that option when logging in. I can only assume the previous owner had activated it and goes by VIN.

I'll give them a call over the weekend and see if they can offer it to me.

would have been nice! I think I'm going down this route since the Spotify integration with android is utterly useless!!!! From what I understand this gives you a Deezer account that you can also use on mobile devices, not just in the car.

I've already got Spotify with my Vodafone plan, so when paying the £1 seems pointless. Is the online entertainment any better? Or just the same but a different provider?

Just refreshed my connected drive. Still offering me 12 months for £1. When you sign up, says you need to select Deezer or Napster. Never used either of them, anyone recommend one over the other?

I've just signed up for the £1 trial, it never asked about Napster/Deezer?

I very much doubt i'll pay the full subscription though. £160/year seems expensive when i currently pay £120 for Spotify which i can use across all my devices, not just in the car.

I use Deezer, it's ok. Never tried Napster.

It does give you a full premium account, multiple devices, no geographic restrictions. I just renewed mine on Black Friday prices so was fortunate.

Have been trying unsuccessfully to get mine activated since Tuesday.
They’ve attempted 2 remote resets so far but have now given up and referred it to Germany

Same issue with CarPlay as well.

Is this the same issue you had teaston ?

Will be pushing for a freebie to see how generous they’re feeling, especially as I asked them to cancel the msoffice subscription but they’ve failed to do that too.

I did the 1 month trial 3 years ago when it was called online entertainment, it worked fine except the Vodafone 3G signal was crap back then!

For CarPlay don't you need the wifi hotspot option?

Ah sorry must have been someone else I’m thinking of that had repeated issues activating services and then eventually got an extension to their trial once
BMW AG resolved it.
