F30 340i MPPSk vs G20 M340i

I have a ZHP as well and agree. I wonder if the LSD on the M340i is an M Performance LSD like our ZHP's? Also, the exhaust on the M340i was still a little too subtle for my tastes. I didn't find the M340i to be much faster than my ZHP but it probably is by a little bit.

Even an M3 isn't vastly faster than a 340 or m340.

I think I too have accepted the fact that my next vehicle won't sound as good as the 340i MPPSK as well.

I feel like they toned down the exhaust note on the M340i to make the //M3 more attractive.

It's worth noting that several M340 owners have noticed that the crackles and pops get more aggressive once you have a few miles on the car. I noticed this myself once my car passed about 1,200 miles. Not a huge difference, but definitely a change. You also have to have the car in Sport Plus for maximum exhaust noise. Big difference to Comfort or Sport modes.

Also, there are rumors floating around some of the G20 threads of an M Performance exhaust becoming available for the G20 at some point. Not sure if that's true or not, as I thought the M340 was already meant to be an M Performance model. Having said that, my old M235i could be spec'd with a more aggressive M Performance exhaust than standard...for a few extra dollars of course.
