I love how people say 50k car with 4 cyn, I doubt it will run north of 35k with that engine.

Think of it like this. BMW is dropping the NA 6 cyl for the I4 turbo. Consequently it will compete with the base A4, IS, MB, etc etc. I for one welcome the return of the shark nose.

I just don't agree. Yes a 4 cyl turbo can compete with a stock inline 6, but a 4cyl turbo cannot compete with a 6cyl turbo. A 6cyl turbo is not too much power for a daily driver,for some maybe. They need to incorporate both engines.

BMW has built thier reputation for decades on the inline-6. I can't see them dropiing it entriely.

That said, expect 4cyl turbo around 250 hp to replace the 328. Probably some sort of more powerful engine as well (big turbo 4? turbo 6?) The n54 or variant will likely power the new M3. I hope they continue the turbo diesels - just give us a couple of the EU powerplants.
