Possible to use basic 6.5" screen with NBT?

As the title suggests, is it possible to install full 609 NBT, but use the base 6.5" screen? I have all other bits, including touch module, emulator and all.

Probably a bit of a long shot, but I am still waiting for the replacement 8.8" screen as the first was cracked, and since it is weekend and all, I figured I could tinker with the install, and simple use the base screen until the new one arrives.

I think it should be no problem. You just have to FDL-code your NBT HU to display variant narrow screen.

So, just gave it a try, but screen remains black, even though I did these 2 changes:

HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 6.5_800x480
HU_NBT > 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = schmales_display

I know that the NBT unit works, because everything is coded, radio working, BT and all. Just that the screen remains black. Guess I have to wait until my new screen arrives

I'm in the same situation as you, retrofit HU_ENTRY - HU_NBT, basic I have a 6.5" screen, I would like to keep it to know already if the HU_NBT works well at first. I have the black screen as you, to correct this it is necessary to buy a screen 8.8 "?

We tested this back in 2014 with no avail. Only way to be able to use NBT is to get the 8.8” screen.
