For 2016-2 map I used 0x2d 0x27, I tried 0x2d 0x28 and did not work. is there any sequence to find the map version?

trying to generate the FSC code for F25 X3, NBT North America Next 2016-2, but keep getting the follow error when I go to run NBT.exe

Error reading DE FSC file de.fsc

I created an entry in the lookup.xml for NA Next 2016-2 using 0xA80x27 as the fscshort code. de.fsc was obtained through esys. What am I missing? Is there a step before running NBT.exe to make the file readable?

so i ended up using the online base64 converter from page 3 and then loaded that bin file into the GUI (i had already created a line in the lookup.xml to add the 2016-2 NA Next maps with 0xA8 0x27) and was able to generate a FSC code. How do i know if it is correct other than testing in car? anyone know why I could not get nbt.exe to work directly from the esys output .fsc file? Also, in the lookup.xml, does it matter if the FSCshort is 0xA80x27 or 00A80027?

It was Typo. A8 should be given as it is always A8 for North America NEXT. The question is the Upgrade Index, and 28 is correct.

I am trying to generate the 1DE file for MY2014 F30 NBT with NEXT maps via esys and I am getting the "Base variant not determinable G175 error". Steps I took after connecting Esys (using F20 as F30 is not listed)

1. Enter 0xA8 (also tried 0x63) - received the error when i click on identify. None of the other fields populate as in the instructions they should.

A couple questions:

which FSC.bat file do I edit? the one in the 2017 folder ( i assume 2017 folder because of the version of maps, not car right?)

Do i put the fsc.bat and fsc.exe, fsc_generator and swid_reader files all in the root of EC-Apps?

Do i need to edit both the fsc.bat in EC-Apps and 2017 folder?

Perhaps i need to try 0x28 instead as posted above?

I finally got it to work. I figured out that the program I was using to convert my fsc to base64 wasn't saving my file correctly. The way it was saving by default was by doing a multi-line out put instead of a single line...

Lifetime maps, some of my friends will be really happy tomorrow

I was able to generate the 1DE file and get it into the generator, after completing the DOS commands per the previous instructions earlier in the thread. But for some reason, i can only see map versions up to NEXT 2014-2. Is there something i need to change to get to 2017-1 or even 2016-2?

Maybe i am using the wrong generator? Any help is greatly appreciated!

In Lookup.xml, just clone an existing North America NEXT entry, and change it to read "SWID_FscShort="00A80028" name="Road Map NORTH AMERICA Next 2017-1".
