Dashcam front hardwire point

Is gthere anywhere up front I can piggyback an ignition live ;power point rather than just using socket? My M6 has a front fuse box beside the glove box but I believe BMW hasn't anything ?

The rear view mirror should have power. That is where I power my radar detector.

You get get a mirror tap specifically for your dashcam or if you plan to run a radar detector you can use a single power source for both assuming you go with the M1 dashcam to pair with an escort radar detector.

Anyone else having an issue with wire tap staying fixed into the connector (behind mirror)???

Mine always seem to work themselves out after a few drives.

Super Annoying!

Mine has been in for several years with no issues.

You really have to jam it in there. Don't stop when you feel resistance. It should literally bottom out. I also used the biggest blades that came with the kit. No issues after 1 1/2 years and the voltage readout on my radar detector still shows accurately. That's actually how I figured out I had a shoddy install on a previous car (the voltage always read low).
