ID6 touchscreen install into ID5
Can someone please help on coding part, I have a 2016 F30 with id5 non touch screen and I have just bought another screen from 2017 F30 model but its a touchscreen monitor. Same size, so plug and play retrofit.
What do I need to code to get the screen working on my car? Thanks a lot |

Thanks. It was a 10 min job, real easy DIY.
Swapped the screen, powered up the unit and all worked fine except the touch. Then I coded Display Touch functionality and it works 100%. Its amazing if you have the Apple CarPlay, so much easier to use, its almost like using the phone. Display is very sensitive too, unlike some other cars where you have to really press hard. Thanks again |

Want to do the same......did you upgrade to id6 or keep it id5? If id5 I take it that touchscreen only works on carplay which is what I mainly want it for.
What was the part number of the screen you used? I have an F30 registered start of 2017 so build must be mid/late 2016 but am a little unclear which of screen model to go for I have seen 6844126, 8709338 or 8709339 for sale and having checked real oem but can’t say I am any clearer wether all will work or only the early model which is 6844126. My current screen is a factory fit 6822626 running id5. Any info greatly appreciated. |

My car is 2016 and the NBT is ID5.
The main reason I wanted touch screen was because of Carplay as it makes scrolling trough the map and typing a breeze. The part no I used was: ( Actually Im just looking at the photo of the back of the screen and theres no part number |

I have done this now using a 8709339. Had to remove the headunit trim and unscrew that to get enough slack to unplug the screen. The new screen worked straight off apart from the touch element. I had the coding done remotely by kubax86 who helped me once again, thank you my friend.
Took 10mins tops I guess once online with him. I got Id6 coded as well and for me the touch works on that and on the carplay which is fullscreen. Very pleased with the interaction of touch on both carplay, which is much easier to navigate leading to much less distracting to use now, and Id6. |

ID5/ID6 Lite
So I got the F30 8.8 Touchscreen and got everything to work, except for the touchscreen. Coming from the regular F30 8.8. Was able to code from ID5 to ID6 Lite.
Changed CID_Touch = aktiv CID_HMI_Touch = aktiv Also double checked all the other settings as well... What am I missing here?? |
