So no x-drive drivers cares that they can't get the M suspensions and increase top speed limiter .

You and I think the same
If I didn't have my E92 335 Xdrive 6M/T I would not be buying this.

I can see they are saving the good wheel options for the M4, seriously.

I hope the M4 has the M3 steering feel, it would be a disgrace to go backwards.

Car looks good though! Lighter weight for the M series would also be great, but maybe asking for too much!

I feel like this would turn out to be even less different from the F30 than the E92 was from the E90. The front end as far as I can tell would be very similar to the F30 (I would say the E92 front end was actually quite different from the E90), and given that the F30 now offers coup-y interior colors like the coral red, the difference there is also reduced.

Kind of ironic given that they went ahead with the name change.

I may have to keep it indefinitely, as BMW has conciously decided to not develop a replacement. When the lease was up, the dealer told me that that BMW no longer produces XDrive with manuals in the 5 series and tried hard to convince me to purchase a new SDrive stick. I just purchased back my E60 and am happy I did. Therefore, I dont think that the XDrive exclusion for a manual tranny on the new 4 series is a typo.
Truly a sad moment for purists who live in four season climates. :

Going to be real interesting to see what the msrp goes up to. $45k right now for a 335i coupe.

I can see some 435i builds breaking $60k.

Actually when it comes to steering feel going backwards is great! The E30 has better feel than the E36 which has better feel than the E46 which has better feel than the E90, which feels better than the F30. So in terms of steering: FULL SPEED REVERSE!

The difference is the number of doors and some cosmetic options.
BMW is splitting them apart for the same reason Audi already has. Perceived marked differentiation coupled with the flexibility to increasingly diverge the lines mechanically in the future if they so desire.

In some ways BMW is going in the wrong direction...

And the competition is going to capitalize on this...

Although I'm a fan of exx m cars and came close to pulling trigger on Porsche and auto union.... My next new car absolutely positively will not be a BMW

They aren't exciting anymore, unless the F8x is more aggressive and comes with black series type products, BMW will lose its purist fan base

And I really think the new interiors on the f3x feel cheap and plasticy and those door pulls and the cheap feel of the seats and rickety build

To each their own and some people like the new ones ok but I'm not seeing as many new bimmers as I have in the past

Did BMW really lose that much money from the hpfp issues? And epic fail on not offering the manual w the xdrive

remember this is just a dealer order guide for a demo - so a) there will be more color options b) you probably won't be restricted by lines

I couldn't agree more on the feeling cheap. Last year I sat in an e39 for the first time in years and I was shocked at the quality of the materials used in that car. I had gotten so used to the current materials that I had forgotten what used to be. If you get a chance, I suggest to everyone, go sit in an e38, e39 or even e46 and then get into a current BMW. Material quality shock will set in.

Exactly. BMW always gives the finger to the AWD models. Its a shame because the xdrive system is fun to drive in good weather as well as bad weather. I just don't get the logic.

335 builds can break 60K. I fully expect you can easily equip a 435 upto 65K.

The sedan version is the 3 series. However, they will bring out a Grand Coupe version of thr 4 series. See 6 series Grand Coupe.

Unless I don't understand your question, I think the 3 series is the sedan version of the 4 series. Alternatively, you might call the upcoming 4 series Gran Coupe the "sedan version" of the series.
