But we now know you're wrong.

That's like making a thread title: Mitt Romney won the election! (I think) and thinking it's cool to leave it like that.

So what is the main difference in the exhaust? Also, don't M Sport Estoril Blue already come stock with black kidney grills?

It's a tame upgrade in the exhaust. It's a little louder and raspy-er. I've not heard it in person. There are videos in the forum with the sound. But, it's not earth-shattering. And extra HP's is probably not noticeable.

And no, the black kidney grills are not standard.

So today I called my sales guy and he said: "I have no idea, I get my information from you"

So I called BMWNA twice and spoke with two different reps. one said "I had to call a dealer in the area to see if they knew about it. Sales had no idea, so I spoke to service, they said that they had already installed it on several cars, so it definitely exists, I'm just not sure if it's under Z3B."

So between my dealer and BMW north america, no one gave me an answer.

I believe the vertical slats are black in the Sport and M-Sport lines. The vertical slats in other lines have different finishes. A bit confusing definitely, I never considered the other lines had different types of grills.

The black kidney grills EVERYONE (including me) are installing are completely black, including the outer oblong section. Very noticeable where the headlight and grill meet. Most guys are just installing themselves. There are videos and forum threads to assist you.

Or if you're a lazy bastard like me, just get them port installed. But, then you can't eBay the old grills.

Whatever, I've ordered that ZB3 package. I have to port install.

Ok so i went to my salesperson to get an answer. We figured out that the ppk is the same option name as the one for all other generations which includes the ecu upgrade. I will assume this is what we were all looking for and includes the black grilles

^^^ Yeah, those "Priority Emails" you can send from the My BMW site are worthless, in my experience.

It should not be too difficult to have a semi-intelligent web bot reply with that kind of a canned answer.

So adding stuff at VPC to a lease vehicle isn't residualized, is it?

It seems these options are a bit foggy. Any help is appreciated.
