Slime, a puncture kit, plus a 12V inflater. Anything that needs more than that it's probably time for a tow.

I've never had to use a puncture kit (knock on wood), but I've heard fix-a-flat can ruin your TPMS and make it impossible to clean your wheel. The products like the BMW mobility kit and Slime which attach a canister of some product to a compressor are supposedly much better and less likely to ruin your TPMS sensors.
Also, it's not worth the money to buy the BMW kit unless it comes with your car. The Slime kits are basically the same thing for a fraction of the price. You still need to have a backup plan, though. If you have a blowout, a repair kit will do nothing for you. You need to have some type of roadside assistance available to you. Check your insurance company or credit cards to see if they offer a pay-as-you-go roadside assistance program. They're actually pretty common and it's usually cheaper to just pay the one-time fee when you need it than paying a yearly subscription to AAA. |
