Sounds dodgy to be honest. But then again this is Big Motoring World we're talking about so anything goes....

How can there be nothing on the log book, it should always show previous keeper and date of change of ownership. What does it say with regard to date of change? I think you do need to speak to them and also go into a local dealer and get the key read

Just rechecked the V5 and it has the original date of registration, previous owners (1, no name) and new ownership date.
But no name, address etc of previous keeper |

Just looked at their terms and conditions, looks like they will accept returns. Did the advert for the car say service history as they all seem to, if so you want to see evidence of it. If they said that no service required they have misled you. I would want answers and make a complaint as per their complaints procedure stated in their terms and conditions

Apparently DVLA have recently removed previous keepers details from the V5. So you need to go back to Big Motoring World and ask some questions. I would also get the key read and see if there is anything on there as sometimes dealers forget to update the idrive

Big Motoring World are a car supermarket who just shift large numbers of ex fleet cars. They probably don't know or even care if it's been serviced. It's probably safe to assume that if there is nothing on the idrive then it hasn't been near a BMW dealer.
I'd ask Big Motoring World but unless it was described as having FSH not sure you'll get far. This is the difference between buying AUC from BMW and a car supermarket, yes you may save some cash up front but if anything goes wrong further down the line it might not be so good |

In a couple days , I’ll visit my local BMW dealership and get them to read my key.
I have some other questions so the trip will be worthwhile Thank all for the input. Tbh I now feel a little apprehensive about my purchase but I’m sure I’ll get answers from BMW. |

If it hasn't had a service it's only oil and microfilter that would need to be done ASAP. The 320i LCI is very under-rated in my opinion. It has had a bad press, presumably due to previous generation engines. I think this engine is excellent and produces good performance and fuel economy. I have done 26k from new and averaged 38.6 mpg. You can squeeze about 53 mpg on a motorway run in eco.

*positive update*
Called Big M World and got info on previous owner, found out what they did pre-sale. All good. Also went to BMW dealership and had key read. Service history is fine. System just not updated, which has been now. Next oil change not for 19k or 2020. Nearest thing that needs doing is brake fluid ,mot and end of warranty check in Feb 2019. Thanks all for your help. |

Good price. My local dealer want £170, but one a bit further away it's only £121. Will try to get the local one to price match.
