M-performance side sill decals

For the first time, I have these on my car and really like the look.

Looking for recommendations to maintain the appearance. I was thinking to apply 303 protectant: https://www.autogeek.net/303aerprot.html

Also, noticed a very small stone chip above the "m performance". Anything I can do to repair it?

Its flat black right? Just fill it in. Doesnt look too noticable. I use 303 on mines too, actually use it for a lot of things.

To cover up the stone chip you could try a black sharpie, that should work for a while

Honestly exactly what I was thinking. The simplest solutions are often the best.

When I first thought about getting the m performance side decals I made the mistake of cheating out and getting the eBay ones while lacking on the installation experience. I barely got them on decently but that's after doing a water install where I sprayed on some water and shifted it around very minutely till it fit the best it could before it was stretched out of proportion.

But that is not the point I'm posting about. After one winter some parts on it got damaged and paint became faded. So this time I opted for an official BMW MP side decal set. This time I realized that it would probably would've received the same fate since driving it on the east coast the weather will take a toll on it since the car is street parked as well.

So my solution to this problem was to apply some Duplicolor vinyl clear coating on it and to my surprise it made the black even deeper while adding a shiny luster. I'm also more confident that applying this level of protection would help the longevity of the decals akin to adding a screen protector for your phone. Now I'm sure there are probably other ways to protect it but this is one way I got it done and I wanted to put out my experience for those reading this to know of a way to protect their MP side decals.

Also I found that it's possible to peel off the clear coat on the decals if they become damaged and reapply a new coat. Cleaning is very easy as dirt just comes right off and after it's a deep black and as shiny as new.
