I ended up going with the Aliexpress lights, installed in May this year on my '14 F31. They have been holding up well, no issues to report other than changing a value in coding to prevent flicker. The turn signals sync with side mirrors. All in all a huge upgrade over the stock halogens.
Next project is to address the horrific scratches on the bumper... |

I’d recommend the DEPOs, you can look
Up DEPO f30 LCI lights and find them there |

Sorry I don't check the forum often - shipping took about a month. BMW LED logo is on the headlight and they were for stock halogen headlight assemblies.

Guys, did anyone install those LCI LEDs from Aliexpress on their original Adaptive Xenon?
Is there any difference between simple xenon and Adaptive? I'm just confused and the seller can't tell me exactly if his LCI headlights for Xenon will fit plug-and-play instead of my Adaptive Xenon. If anyone has those LCI LEDs in the place of the original Adaptive Xenon could you do me a favor and make a picture of the pins in the headlight connector, please? |

i think as long as you buy these directly from China, they don't care about putting BMW LED on the headlight shroud. but if any company wants to resell these in the US, BMW could easily send them a cease and desist. So I'm sure there is a version of this headlight that doesn't say BMW on them, specifically made so american resellers can buy those.

I have to replace the front headlight.
Trying to decide if I spend $330 on replacing one of the xenon one, or go with LED lights. Ali express that arrives in 50 days for $680 or the depot lights for $1000. Are the LED lights much nicer in brightness? |

Imho, Xenons are better than LCI LED. A lot of people commented on that over the past years. I have Xenons in 2015 F30 and even a thought of "upgrading" never crossed my mind since day 1 of the ownership (3+ years). The Adaptive (aka AHL) LEDs from F80/F82/F32/F33/F36 are a different story. But those are not a straight fit into F30/31 since the lines of front bumper and fenders are different.

again, i've never seen or heard of this from anyone else but now i try to eagle eye every car online (IG, FB, internet forums) that i see with the new type LCI headlights on an F series car and I've seen at least two others now that appear just slightly off like mines do. i did read and have seen photos of this occurring with the m4 trunk lid (boot lid) being put onto a non-M F series. The F series cars share a lot of the same parts it seems but i think there are a few very slight differences here and there that can make a big difference aesthetically...

I meant this (STRICTLY in terms of front end shapes and attachment points, not wiring and not control modules): 1) Regular 3 series sedan (F30), extended base 3 series sedan (F35 - China market only) and wagon/estate/touring (F31) share the headlights, front fenders and front bumper covers. 2) Regular 4 series coupé (F32), 4 series convertible (F33), 4 Series Gran Coupe (F36), 3 series M3 (F80) and 4 series M4 (F82/F83) share headlights (100% interchangeable). M cars have their own fenders and bumper covers. 3) Hoods are interchangeable for all cars listed in #1 and #2. 4) The 3 series GT (F34) does not share ANY of the listed above as it is one-of-a-kind design. To verify statements in #1 and #2, go to REalOEM.com and run cross-reference for a specific part number. Here is a cross-reference example for Bi-Xenon headlight in M3/M4/4 Series cars: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=63117377852 Cross-reference example for 4 series LCI, LED, Adaptive headlight: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=63117478159 In other words: The headlight from 3 series sedan or wagon will not fit on 4 series or M3/M4 as the intended headlight opening (bumper cover edge and fender forward edge) in the latter is different than in 3 series sedan/wagon. Cross-reference for 4 series front M bumper cover shows that it is the same for pre-LCI and LCI cars (so there should not be any issues with fit-up of any kind): https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=51118061935 So, if bumper cover, hood and fenders are the same for pre-LCI and LCI 4 series cars, then the headlight opening should be the same. The headlight interior design (shadow line or not, reflectors/HID lenses or LED reflectors) could be different, but fit into the car - not. If you having issues with fit-up of OEM headlights that are meant for LCI 4 series - it is a matter of gap minor tweaking (bumper cover and headlight mounting) only. Hope this clarifies my previous message.
