iDrive and HTC One
Hi all, sorry to keep banging on about phones but..
Has anyone got their F30 (preferably post August, touchpad upgrade) hooked up with their HTC One? On the BMW website it says voice quality is poor. Is that the case? Does it work with your emails and text messages? Thanks. |

I had an HTC One for the first few days of my loaner F30, sorry pre Aug upgrade, and it worked perfectly for voice calls. I didn't know about SMS or email at that time and I no longer have the phone.

Can you tell me how you got it to work?
Did you set up Email in Connected Drive? Or did it just work when you connected via BT? Does it work via BT or only when you plug in via USB? Where do you go to see your messages? ConnectedDrive in iDrive or under Contacts? Sorry for the questions but as both phones are on Android I'm hoping there might be a solution. |

email in office > messages along with text messages. It just syncs them via bluetooth if you use the HTC mail app and tick an option in bluetooth > advanced settings on the phone to allow "message access"
Contacts are in contacts etc No cable required. I am using pro nav |

Cheers. What version of Android are you running?
I suspect the issue I'm encountering is that new releases of Android have a broken implementation of Bluetooth MAP. iDrive runs MAP. More on my other thread. |

Very interesting. I gather it must be something to do with the phone hardware then, or whether the manufacturer has implemented Bluetooth MAP. Meh.

..or I could go back to my trusty BB which DOES appear to have BT MAP on it...
LOL See here: waiting for a response.. but it does seem like this is an Enhanced BT feature.. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showth...ghlight=HU_NBT |

Just noticed my contacts are not syncing since switching to 4.3. Perhaps i need to delete it and add it again. My messages work (which is a nice gimmick!) but contacts would be more useful!

Absolutely no idea on which version of bluetooth. I choose the pro media pack so i am assuming it came with enhanced bluetooth but not sure |
