IHKA location?

Hi everyone. My AC is working for only few minutes, I asked bmw dealership and they told me that probably the IHKA ecu needs to be replaced. 500€. I found it on ebay for 40€, so I thought to do it myself. Does it need coding? Where is the IHKA ecu located inside the car?

The IHKA needs to be coded.
It can be found behind and above the glove box.

Thank you for the info. What kind of coding does it require?

If you use E-Sys you only have to assign a new cafd and then code the IHKA.

i believe you only need to VO code the new IHKA module and inject new CAFD to it.
