Looking good. Mperformance rear lights would really do a good job on the rear...!
Lol.. I know school boy. Agree, might look at a set.

Looks absolutely bloody magnificent!!! You have achieved exactly what I am hoping to! Show worthy!

As of right now I need to Lower, Change front wings, Widen rear arches, add spacers, and get the front splitter and side skirt extensions installed. Few pennies involved in all of the above I am sure.

Would you be willing to enlighten us to you're chosen manufacturers/retailers of the above components and the associated cost involved with achieving your dream machine!

Yeah check them out. might make the rear even nicer!

This is mine with them on; obviously mineral grey but worth checking if they look good with silver.

Right, all my excitement slightly overshadowed today discovered some rubbing in a few places in the arches which is not good. I think moving from a 255 to 265 might have been just too much. Until you road test properly you never really know.

So gutted as love the stance as it is, Really not sure whether to go back to 255 or reduce spacers by 5mm.

Just forked out for set of four 235/35 and 265/35 🙁😭what a bummer.

Why can't things just be easy.

Thanks dude, i am loving it. Just a bit annoyed with the rubbing, looks like going to have to sacrifice something, which is pants.

I would highly recommend M style for body components. Fenders, etc. Good lads there, often will price match and specialist for everything BMW.

Also highly recommend the guys i used for body work, but depends i guess where you are located as they are in Norwich.

The guys at ACS Rossiters. Lorcan will
Sort you out any ACS goodies like springs, suspension etc.

Hope that helps my friend.

I'd say keep the tyres, ditch the spacers and get WIDER wheels. Like 11 or 12 inch, with a lot of concave to them. Gotta flush those rear arches 😁😁😁😁 !

Thanks! helped alot! Don't be too let down. Anyone else, other than you, is REALLY going to have to be paying attention to notice the 10mm width decrease from the 265s to the 255s. The car still looks Mint!!! You don't see many wide arched F31's.

If it makes you feel any better I've just worked out I'm going to be searching around in my wallet for a spare £3k to fund the mods I'm looking for haha! Not going to be finding that in there any time soon! List consists of;

Lowering Springs
Strut Brace Front & Rear
Front Splitter (Gloss Black)
Side Skirt Extensions (Gloss Black)
M-Performance Front Wings (Fitted & Painted)
Spacers & Bolts
Rear Wide Arches (Fitted, Formed & Painted)
Re-Map/Tune

Then, if I can stretch to a fancy set of rims, I'd potentially splash out on a set of these ,
http://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/...018&s=5D0LT2Wy

Whatever happens and however long it takes, it's going to be good fun!

Cheers Fin, appreciate that has helped your probably Right. Got a bit down after such a long wait, then having to rethink things again its a bit annoying 😡.

Thats a nice shopping list; Its expensive stuff this mod business. I won't tell you have much i spent over the last 2 yrs. My Recaro CS were pretty hefty impulse purchase. Lol.

Would definitely check M style for their M performance parts, they do a full kit for very reasonable price . In hindsight wished i had bought one of them instead of OEM ones that are hugely inflated.

I will drop you a DM to give you indication on the arches. They are very expensive addition, i got 3 separate quotes for the work in total. A lot of bodyshops wouldn't touch it.

Look forward to seeing your progress ✌️

Agree. I think the F3X does look better when stretched out like you see on the F8X's.

Great looking car.

Recaro CS?

Tell me more - how did you go about fitting them? Did they need custom rails etc?

Yes bud. They were ok, the wiring was a little fiddly. But worth it. Yes they are F30/F31 specific rails from Recaro.

They look great!

Any info regarding wiring as I want to do this mod!

Also, I presume you bought them direct from Recaro and these aren’t taken from another marque of car?

My understanding is that the generic ones from Recaro have a “standard” base and then Recaro then sell rails for specific cars.

Whereas you could potentially take some from another car and the bases may be specific to the OEM spec and the Recaro rails then wouldn’t work!

To be honest a friend of mine helped me out, as i got stuck with some seatbelt and occupancy sensor
Lights. I ended finding a work around, but meant having a dummy buckle in the passenger seat if un occupied. So in theory means passenger airbag is always on. But preferred it that way than the other.

I bought these via Lorcan at ACS Rossisters, as i know them quite well, they are Recaro retailers.

I bought the dedicated sub frames from them which makes the install much easier. Its not cheap, but i think transforms the cockpit.

The added bonus, is leather on the Recaro's could palm of being an exact match to the existing leather, which is a nice bonus.

Worth having a seat in one before buying. They are very comfy and hugging.

Sorry can't be any more help.✌️

Thanks!

I had a set of these in a JCW MINI several years back and they are awesome seats!

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the cost of the seats from Recaro / Lorcan?

Ok cool, they are pretty special.

i will have to dig out the receipt. But if I rememberthe prices were pretty fixed by Recaro across all distributors.

Finished car looks great.

Is it just the pics but to me the bonnet looks to be a slightly darker shade then the sides and front bumper? Does it just need a good polish?
