Quite a simple decision really; if you need the space of the Touring you stick with the 340i, if you don't you jump on one of these deals and get an M3!!

Also, you need to review your option choices, if you can live without them on the M3, then why not the 340i? Considering a 340i standard is £30k (C2C), that's £10k of options to £40k. The M3 deal is £52500 with £5500 deposit at £600 a month. So if you have put £5500 down as deposit and are paying £580 for the 340i.... If not then the gap is far more than £20 a month |

IMHO paying £580 PCM for a 340i touring is....well a bit much.
Given the AUC cars out there at mid-low 30's and having bought a 435i recently, ok with a £10k deposit I'm paying apprx HALF of what you are considering for a 340i. I did briefly look at a 340i touring, nice spec, Vines Guildford had it for £35k, would think after part ex that would have worked out same as deal i got for 435i but i don't need a touring as we have the X5. so my point? if you are comfortable paying out £580 PCM for a car then the M3 "in my head" at least is worth it. the 340i touring is not on the simple fact that that amounts seems like a lot to paying for that kind of car per month. Heck i paid less than that for my Porsche approved Cayenne 2 years ago!! In 6-9 months there will be a flood of ex-BMW or pre-reg 340i Tourings at mid to low 30's and i'm sure if you really need one you can pick one up then for a much lower PCM. just my 2cents.......probably doesn't help....but I'd go M3 if you don't need touring! |

I've just done a quote on moneysupermarket, currently pay approx £1400 for car insurance. The M3 with competition package only comes up at £2,200. Only an £800 difference considering the car

I can't wait to see the man maths calc on this one - you must be better at convincing your other half than me !! £1500 negative equity and you are going to convince her that it makes sense to go for a £55k car ?! I admire your tenacity though
