I saw the launch of the 6 GT mentioned here, which is essentially a replacement for the ungainly 5 GT, but I haven't seen any mention of a new 6 GC and 6 coupe.

It would seem to go against the flow to drop it, given that there are an ever increasing number of BMW variants, but please tell me the 6 GT isn't supposed to be a replacement for the best looking car that BMW makes?

All GT s are awful and this is another addiction to it which is shame .

I don't think BMW replace 6GC with 6GT, well hope anyway

I guess that means it's going to be a fair bit bigger, as the 8 is based on the 7 Series. Nice looking car, but it's going to be too big for our roads I would have thought.

The 640d/640i have always been £45-50k cars, even if they have a comedy list price. I assume the 8 will have to cost more.

The 8 is based on the CLAR platform, same as new/upcoming 3,4,5,6 & 7 series.

Perhaps, I forever the dimensions but the 6 series's all round is a 5m length car so can't grow much really.

Price however that's why it seems good to be in the 8 rather than a 6. Perception.
