In one week I'll be a F34 owner! Coming from a E91, love the car but we need a car that fits three kids in the backseat.

2014 328d. Loved the car, just not the trunk. As a territory rep, I look forward to getting stuff in & out of hatch.
Not looking forward to the drop in fuel economy though. Gonna miss the oil burner.

Just bought my first BMW and my first GT! Got a CPO 2015 335i GT. I'm coming off a 3 year lease with a Ford Fusion Titanium. I leased it because my previous car (2008 Mazda3 Hatchback) got totaled and I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted. Very happy with my new car. Obviously blows away anything I've owned in the past.

I came from X1.
2003 Acura TL-S. My criteria for the car were:
All wheel drive, 6-cyl engine, 0-60 faster than the Acura(6.1s), full Bluetooth connectivity, headlight washers, Xenon/HID headlights, Active cruise control, Blindspot and pedestrian detection, room for road trips with our dog, not a SUV(rides too high), not a "sports" sedan( rides too low). The 335i GT met the requirements perfectly!

I came from an 1m

I just sold my 1m for what I paid for it 6 years ago. This is my first non m car since 1997. I'm not autocxing or doing BMWCCA track schools anymore and went for comfort and parcticality. I shattered my knee last year and since IU only have one car the 1m became inpractical. I got a 2017 330 with the m sport package, Nav, cold weather, driving assist, premium, wireless charging and harmon Kardon. This is lease so I can see if this large of a car suits me. It was a demo with 4000 on it so I got a really good deal.

I'll Drive in sport+ mode until winter here in Buffalo, NY. My Late mothe had a 1998 5 series and it reminds me of that car. You can toss it if you remember its big. I thought the car was slow until I looked up the 0-60 of my 1997 M3... They are the same. I'm getting used to the size and enjoying all the toys. I drove the VW alltrack, the x1, x3 and VW turag. I did not want a SUV --HATED THEM but since I gave my little race trailer to my son I need a way to haul big things. I wanted a car not a SUV. The VW all track was nice but it was biased toward front wheel drive. I hate FWD and I've had 6 BMW since 1994. My daughter lives in Vertmont and I will probably be retiring to there and Allwheel drive is a good thing. As my son in law says about the 1m on an icy road, "this thing is dangerous". The 1m certainly is not made for Vermont as your only car.

I plan to take a road trip to Falling rock PA to see the Frank Lloyd Wright house and will try it on some twisties.

BTW Does anyone of you all live in Vermont and do you take it to either Burlington or Albany for service? My daughter thinks I'm insane to get a BMW when there is only one dealer in the state. ASlll in all I do like this car.

I had a 3 3.0 and a e46 m3 at the same time in the early 2000's and kept them both 10 years. The reason I sold the 1m is I dont weant to own 2 cars ever again.

I don't mean to get on your case but you should realize not all women want a Mini Van or a SUV. Some women are car people. My cars have been a 1960 Twin cam MGA; ( 1970 short time in mommy cars-see my husband's list below); 1978 Audi 100LS; 1980 VW rabbit; 1984 Rabbit Conv (they put it on a GTI platform that year; a 1988 16V Scirocco; 1992 Corrado VR6; 1994 BMW 325is with a quaiffe LSD highly modified; a 1997 M3 with Quaiffe and other modifications; 2001 z3 3.0; a 2002 E46M3; a 2011 1m; and now my 3 GT.

My late husband has 2 VW bugs; 2 Vw Buses; the 1980 rabbit ; a 1987 Nissan Wagon and a 1996 Corolla Wagon. He was the practical one and I had the BMWs. He was a climber and wanted a car he could leave by the side of a trail and no one would steal. I also autox and tracked my BMWs.

What I like about the 3 Gt. is that it can be fun but masquerades a practical car. AND that it is not an SUV. I'm going down to the Buffalo's South Towns to feed a friends dog and plan to go out into the Boston hills to play a little bit today with my new car.

That was my point. I said that women tend to be more practical than men, which means not buying into SUVs that are less practical than the GT. It's too bad they don't have similar options from other manufacturers in price ranges more affordable by the average family, maybe then they wouldn't have to settle for SUVs and mini vans.

2012 subaru wrx hatch 350whp 380 torque with supporting mods. I wanted another hatch and options were slim picking. Ended up with a 335 with almost all options except m sport. At the mercy of cpo's on the dealer lots. It's two different worlds but i do like the instant torque on the 335.

Previous X3 owner here

Coming from X3 2013 when lease period ended I was not sure what I wanted although I could have got great deal of continuing with X3 or even new 520d.

Loved the robust feel of X3 but wanted to try something else.
Same BMW sales rep pointed to 3GT (F34 LCI, 320d) and they were giving discount in Belgium as part of car saloon ongoing in Brussels. After test drive I was sold.

Compared to X3 - car is 70kg lighter, handling is superb, both on highway and motorway and sitting position although lower is in sweet spot between SUV and normal car. Sport seats are a must.
Rear passengers space is just great (bigger than in X3 and X5) and feels like sitting in the limo.
I was concerned if booth will fit my needs but I can firmly say it surpases X3 in terms of practicalities.
Second thing that was my concern was reported loudness due frameless windows - but car is less loud compared to my X3 (1.8D SDrive) so definitely win for me.

Its 1 week since I took it and I cant get out of the car - and making some 200km per day (commuting + joy ride)

Hope this will help anyone who could be having similar concerns.
Take a test drive and see for yourself.

Cheers,

Recently bought my seventh BMW, a 318d GT Sportline.
I have quite a distance to work (260 km / 162 miles) so fuel economy is important but It should also be possible to go on weekend trips with the family (wife + 3 kids), we tought that the BMW 3-series GT is the best model at the moment for our needs.

My previous car was a 318d E91 LCI Touring.

Previous car a Mercedes C220D.

I wanted to change to something different without going to a SUV. The 3 serie was too similar to the C class so I choose a GT. In France the 3 GT is selling poorly and you don't find a lot of them on the road.

Compare to the C220D the 3GT is longer and heavier but you have a lot more space inside. The quality of the C220D was better (seems more durable in time) but the 3 GT is more efficient in term of comsumption, look better and has a better road touch (after lowering the dampers).

1st BMW for me. Came from a 2014 RAM 2500 with the Cummins diesel. Slight change in drive/handling Did lower payments by about $200/month though.

Bought a CPO 2015 328i GT M Sport.

Cadillac CTS4 Premium as I am not counting the short-lived XTS purchase that was quickly totaled.

Been very pleased with my F30 and am not planning on ever selling it, which is a first for me since I usually turn my cars over every few years. I can see why many Bimmer owners hold onto them now unlike "cough cough" many domestic brands

From a 1-10, what would you have rated your experience with the i3 BEV? (been keeping my eye on it for a short hop car) My biggest concern are the tires ATM.
