I'm with admiral and have declared every factory fit option, it made no difference to the price. As said, if it's not declared they won't cover it, this is specified in their t&cs. I would not take the word of some call centre worker as gospel, if it's not in writing you have no proof it ever happened. On the plus side we have made 2 claims through them and they have been great. Following my wife's at fault claim her insurance only went up £40 as well which I thought was excellent.

Apple have released a simple adapter, to plug your phone into, to stop this happening:
