F3X LCI Unique Coding

Does anyone have a list of coding differences for LCI models? There are a few things I'd like to code but the directory in existing cheat sheets either doesn't work or isn't present for me.

Here are a few that I can't find for LCI models:

Rear Fog Lights
Add Tire Temperature to iDrive (may be ID6 issue?)
LED Full Brightness

For LED full brightness try this:

Both FLE Modules

POLI1_Idx
POLI2_Idx
POLI3_Idx

Change the 05 to 04 in werte values
ex: the default is like this
00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 05, 00, 00, 00
after it should be like this
00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 04, 00, 00, 00

For rear fog lights after you mod the switch use the following (I used BimmerCode in "Expert" mode):

REM Module

REM -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output: nsl_l
REM -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output: nsl_r

FEM_BODY
3060 NSL_Verbaut: verbaut

Do the LCI models have rear fogs? I have 2018 F36 and don't have them...or at least didn't think I did. 😜

I have the fog lights button next to headlights switch.... and when I have used it, I have always assumed it is not just an indication in the instrument cluster that it activates

Don't you have a button there?

@kern417
"Add Tire Temperature to iDrive (may be ID6 issue?)" works just fine on LCI. Same way it is described in the cheatsheets from what I recall. I just re-coded it a week ago and it was very straight forward with Bimmercode.

What do you want to do with the rear fog lights and what LED brightness do you mean?

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I got confused because everything I read said the default was 32 and to change it to 64. When I saw 05 I didn't know what to change it to.

Rear fogs aren't an option here. Pre-LCI cars found that the US spec lights still had rear fogs in them, they were just disabled. But everywhere I've seen the coding doesn't work for LCI models.

For tire temp, I'll check again. But either I couldn't find the directory, or it already said activ when I checked (probably meaning I tried to code it a few months ago and it never worked). For reference I use E-Sys on my computer, not a phone app.

for LED brightness i want to make the halos brighter and maybe the main LED lamps if that's possible.

If I remember correctly the DRLs were already at 100% brightness, but I may be wrong.

Generally no rear fog lights in the states or how come?

I have a US-spec 2017 F31 with LCI (LED taillights) and the rear fogs work after coding. I do not know if the F36 has the same, but looking at pictures of the 4 series taillights, it should work.

Good luck!

It is 100% when using DRLs but it dims when turning on the headlights. Also the pair of lights in each housing are not the same brightness, so I was hoping there was a coding change that could maximize the LED lamp output. Especially after lowering my car I need all the light I can get.

Rear fog lights are not standard in the US. I think the higher chance of gloomy weather in Europe makes it standard there, but here it's only on European cars with aftermarket tail lights or coding. Like on my volkswagen, I had to swap to european tail lights to get the rear fog light function. A lot of people don't like it though because sometimes it replaces one of the reverse lights with a red fog light, which americans probably need the reverse light more lol. Also european rear lights have to have yellow turn indicators, and US has to have orange reflectors in the front bumper/headlights. There are a bunch of differences in regulations around lighting and improving visibility.

sorry if this one hijacks the thread but ive been looking for answers with no luck and i think someone here might help.

for LCI models that dim the halos during turn signal, does anyone know how to adjust that to make them bright all the time?

Tried and didn't notice any change in lighting. Modded my switch up front and indicator goes on/off just no change in back. Had wife standing back there and asking her if she noticed anything changing. 😜

for your problem, here is the solution. the f30 and f32 are different for this.
youre probably trying the f30 code.

FEM -> 3060 -> NSL_Verbaut (Value= Verbaut)
REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output (Value = 0x20)
REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_function (Value=nebelschlusslicht)
REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output (Value = 0x21)
REM -> 3063 -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_function (Value = nebelschlusslicht)

And how are you guys controlling the fog lights (when enabled) if you don't have the corresponding switch?

Thx! Saw those mappings on another thread earlier and was a little hesitant to change behavior of an existing light function. Will give it a try, though.

Do you have any pics of before/after?

no but it just uses the outer turn signal ones as fog lights. they still work with turn signals too so its not like they are turning into fog lights only.

For adding tire temperature to the TPMS display, navigate to...

HU_NBT2
3001 EXBOX
RDC_DRUCK_TEMP

Change "druck" to "druck_und_tempratur".

I have coded and modified my rear fog switch in my F31 LCI. Hardware is there, just need to mod the HL switch and code.

dont think this works...my f32 2018 only has FEM module. not FLE. and the POLI controlls are not there.

Is there a value that would use the inner turn signals as fog lights instead?

I recently just bought the LCI tail lights for f32, can somebody provide me with the code needed Ford in her lights to be properly working and fully functional. Preferably using BimmerCode
