Peugeot e-Legend concept
I have to admit visually it looks absolutely stunning from the three photos I have posted.
It's a shame it's electric though!

Agree, very cool. My dad had a white 504 when I was a wee kid and I'd never have even thought you could have paid homage to it in such a cool way.
If they make, let's hope it doesn't have one of those ridiculous small steering wheels though.

So why won't they build it (as with most concepts)? Too many sharp angles for Heath & Safety? Won't appeal to the great unwashed in their Honda Jizz's and Nissan Joke's? With every concept that comes to production it's like there comes a stage where the maker calls in the 'Beige Brigade' to shave off every interesting detail...

There won't be one thing on that car what wouldn't have to be tooled up for from scratch.

But they're going to have to do most of that anyway if it's a brand new platform aren't they? You hear these manufacturers boast that a new model of something is 95%+ different to the outgoing model and yet they still churn out something that's dull as dishwater. Ok maybe they can make do with re-use on the inside, mechanicals, platform, running gear or whatever, but it just seems beyond most of them to make an interesting bodyshell that's half as interesting as a concept. It's like they don't want to be too far out because the public won't buy it.
If they did, he'd be salivating at the brochure and her indoors would be wagging her finger saying "No"

Exactly - it shows what their design team *can* do, if not troubled by such minor distractions as cost and feasibility (aka accountants).

Yeah, think I'm probably not explaining my thoughts very well. I guess what I'm looking at is the relative cost of making a car look interesting vs. looking dull (which I admit is subjective).
E.g. take the new Toyota Supra. They could build it to look like the pictures we've seen, or they could build the exact same car and just make it look like a giant Nissan Leaf. If it's a brand new body shell, is the dull version so much cheaper than the interesting version? My feelings are that it's not going to be a huge amount and that it's more driven by what the public will buy which leans towards these generic looking cars. No matter. Appreciate that concepts made of exotic materials and with quirky features don't make it into production because of the high cost (unless you're Pagani perhaps)

Another amazing looking concept from Peugeot which they will never build.
