PO597

I got a code just now P0597 and it reads 'Thermostat Heater Control Circuit/Open' but below that it says 'DTC....' does that acronym have to do something with the dynamic traction control lol? Because I do drive wth DTC on but it showed no issues driving. I'm taking to get fixed tomorrow. I'm sure it has nothing to do with that but tryna be sure lmao, thanks!

That code is correlated to a failed thermostat. BMW extended the warranty to 10 years / 120k miles. The dealer fixed that for free last month for me.

If you're under 10 years from the in-service date and under 120k miles you should be eligible.
