Anyone have a recommendation for local bench unlocker, preferably in the northern virginia area? Connected to the car with the BM3 app and it's indicating that I'll need one unfortunately.

Yeah! I went to GTpeace in chantilly. The owner does bench unlocks and used to work for bosch. Great team over there. I think I spent $430. I took the ecu to them and they took less than 24 hours to do it. Make sure you fully reseat the connectors upon reinstallation though. Somehow mine werent fully seated even though visually it seemed that way and I was getting some valvetronic error codes.
