Very few customers reported issues when it was first released years ago, and active autowerke resolved it. No issues have been reported since then

kitchener was the one who got a CEL from AA DP, then had it replaced, then got a CEL again. Did you ever pass emissions?

You'll be good, just like hundreds of other customers.
Worst case scenario, you get a check engine light, Active will replace the downpipe at no cost.

Im not aware of a single CEL issue ever since Active upgraded to the newest GESI cats.

I've been running my AA catted downpipe for several months now with no CEL or issues and love it.

Huh? You can't turn the catalyst monitor off. Are you mixing up the CEL and the catalyst monitor? They are two different things. Its possible to not get a CEL (without disabling it with tune), but still have your catalyst monitor not get ready.

Yes, I was mixing them up. I'm not too familiar with how it all works but I know that no changes were made with the tune to turn the CEL off. Regarding the catalyst monitor, I assume it is working properly. I also had the AA catted downpipe on my 340 and it never threw a CEL and also passed NC state inspection no problem.

Depending on state requirements its possible you passed without catalyst monitor ready. You would not know unless you scanned to check. Its mostly relevant for people who live in states that require it

You get what you pay for, the expensive euro 6 ones have more platinum in them. When i do this i'll be going with supersprint euro 6 catted downpipe for 640i. Options are limited for me.

no change on CEL

CG orders take 4-6 weeks to ship, their products are produced in small batches.

I have the AA catted and it is just OK, bought from a vendor here. No CEL, but fit is not spot on and the margin is slim to prevent the mid pipe from hitting the mount. The far cheaper CTS catted downpipe I had prior actually fit great - go figure.

It's surprising to hear that about the fitment. Hundreds of downpipes have been sold, with spot-on fitment.

You either have a defective unit or a problem with your installation.

All is good now that the downpipe is installed and running properly. But thank you for the feedback.

FYI i have the same downpipe on my F30 335, fits spot-on as well.

Well, one fit great, and one did not - thinking, just tossing it out there, perhaps it is not me……

What are your thoughts on the CTS Turbo catted downpipe? It is like half the price of the CG Precision one. Anyone know if it throws a CEL? What about the (new?) VRSF? It looks like VRSF doesn't have the extra downpipe brace that the others have.

and what dc did you end up wearing
