Diverter Valve and Blow Off Valve Install
What's up everyone! I wanted to know if anyone would recommend getting a blow off valve and diverter valve installed on a 2016 435i n55 engine. My car is stage 2 with front mounted intercooler, charge pipe, down pipe and cold air intake with Bootmod3 stage 2 tune. My goal was getting an iconic blow off valve sound when I let off the throttle. I was thinking about just getting the Turbosmart BOV/Diverter valve, but I don't know if it is going to give me that iconic psssshhh sound since I believe it's more of a true "diverter valve instead of a Blow off valve and it is recycling the air. Does anyone have any opinions on getting both installed?

Get an open intake. I have the Turner open carbon intake and the stock DV and I get a loud pshhh on every shift and every time I let off the throttle.

I don't own it but have heard it, it vents to atmosphere so it's pretty loud It's not the vuuuuuu tututututut noise you want, you'll need a bigger/different turbo set up for that |

First, you dont need a DV upgrade just because you are running bosot over stock. Second, Turbosmart is recommended over GFB for a DV upgrade. Third, turbosmart offers a VTA option which is more in line with what OP wants.
