F30 / F32 3 series to Come In Sport Line, Modern Line, Luxury Line
BIMMERPOST NEWS F30 / F32 3 series to Come In Sport Line, Modern Line, Luxury Line Taking a page out of their multi-lines strategy for the F20 1-series hatchback (which has the Sport and Urban Lines), the F30 and F32 3 series will also be available in multiple "lines" options. The 3 lines expected for the next gen 3 series sedan (and perhaps "4 series coupe" if the name change comes to fruition) will be a Sport Line, Modern Line, and Luxury Line (actual final names may differ, we've also heard Sport Line, Urban Line and Deluxe Line mentioned as the possible names). These optional lines will feature differentiated preset looks via unique trimmings and equipment. Besides the usual options and packages BMWs can be configured with, this allows BMW to offer even more individuality and uniqueness between the same models. These lines should not be offered to the exclusion of the traditional M-sport package or potential Performance Edition (which the recently spied F20 1-series performance edition possibly hints at). How will the 3 lines differ? No solid details yet, but we assume they will feature different aspects such as wheels, mirror covers, interior trims, exterior trims and accents and/or keyfobs. Performance differences may also not be out of the question. It's possible that we've already seen at least 2 of these 3 lines in the recent F30 3 series spy photos. Pressed to guess, we would assume that the sparkling bronze F30 (the main car featured in the pics) may be the modern line and the dark blue F30 to be the luxury line (with its chrome trims). We expect a F30 3 series sedan unveiling in 2-4 months time, so we'll have more details soon! * The keyfob picture above is from the F20 1 series Sport Line model |

Not sure how i feel about this, especially if you can't break the "lines" down for individual options.

Will these be "options" or "packages" to add to the model or will these be 3 different models? I don't get why they don't just leave it as 323, 328, 335 and then limit the options you can get for each trim. BMW is trying to change things up but it's overwhelming with the addition of new models and now these names...

Thanks! I personally like the placement of the keyfob! I hope they use that in the new F30 |
