![]() Our Full Guide to F30 3 Series M Sport Package As the full German F30 catalogue has been published, we can now share more details of the much-anticipated F30 M Sport Package. First off, the M Sport Package is supposed to be available from July 2012 on (worldwide). That's in line with our previous estimate as production of the model year 2012 F30 will end in June 2012 and model year 2013 beginning in July 2012. UPDATE on the US M Sport package:
EXTERIOR: The M Sport Package comprises of unique front bumpers with enlarged bumper intakes, more sculpted rocker panels, and a unique rear bumper with a rear diffusor in dark shadow metallic. It also features shadow line door trim and the same front grilles as the Sport line (8 high-gloss slats). For European markets, the M Sport pack is also mated to the M Sport suspension with the adaptive suspension being optional. It remains to be seen however, if the US will get the adaptive suspension as a standard part of the package. These exterior colors are available for the M Sport Package:
M Sport comes with a choice of two wheels - the 400M 18" split spoke wheels come standard and the 403M 19" bicolor wheel are optional. Both wheels run 225 tires front and 255 tires rear. INTERIOR On to the interior, the M Sport package comes with a lovely M Sport steering wheel, a new M Sport footrest, and a short shifter if you stay with the good old manual transmission. BMW decided to retain the Sports line gauges for the M Sport Package, so there'll also be red accents in the gauge cluster. The key fob features a blue accent trim. There will be four different interior trims available - an aluminum hexagon trim with either matte estoril blue or black accent stripes, a fine aluminum trim with black accents, and a walnut wood trim with chrome accents. Seats will be available in:
BRAKES: In the US, M Sport Brakes are a not available as part of the M Sport Package or as a standalone option (US members can opt for the M Performance Brakes, which are the same as M Sport brakes, except for color). In Germany, M Sport Brakes are option and the option requires either M Sport Package or a 335i with at least 18" wheels. The M Sport Brakes feature bigger rotor sizes and fixed piston calipers both front and rear. They are Brembo 4-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle and 2-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the rear axle. The brake calipers are painted in dark blue and an M logo is applied (think of the F10 M5 caliper design here) (see the first photos below from a previous spy photo) . You may not want to miss out on the M Sport brakes, as BMW will be offering as a BMW Performance part, huge 370mm drilled/slotted brake discs for the M Sport brakes (see below). For those looking forward to the F30 M Sport, I hope this helps you in planning for options and color combinations. Good to see that you don't have to get the blue stripe.

Would have liked to see black leather with blue stitching or something along those lines. I guess it's still possible since we don't get the alcantara option here.

M-Sport does not seem to be a very big upgrade over sport.

I used to like the 19" wheels. But not happy about the fact they come in bicolor.

still a shame the interior trim is still missing the carbon look which was available on the e46. Looks like vinyl will be on order if I ever order the f30

Is the m sport lower then the regular sport 335 or 335 non sport? And if so by how much? I'm worried about ground clearance with my steep driveway.
