@newBMWfan: Thanks
@shoptb: Yeah there's also a lot of difference between the F10 and F30 likewise. From the ones you name, only KOMBI sounds familiar for my F30, and CAS because I've seen them mention it for the F10 lol

Svache, you a pioneer! Great work.
This might be a naive question but can you activate enhanced Bluetooth or voice control via this interface or is there some additional hardware involved? In hindsight, I am surprised that audio streaming over bluetooth is not standard these days - I have been overseas for most of the last month and all three hire cars I have used have had this feature (and they were crappy cars)! |

Given the new MY13 bundling, ZDA (Driver Assistance Pkg) budles: - 3AG Rear-view camera - 508 Park Distance Control - 5AG Active Blind Spot Detection - 5DL Side and Top View Cameras ZDB (Driver Assistance Plus) bundles: - 5AD Lane Departure Warning - 8TH Speed Limit Info So, for MY13 it is a moot point as ZDB adds the fwd camera with both Lane Departure and Speed Limit Info. But, this seems to indicate the blind spot monitoring is done with PDC sensors and the surround cameras. So, what might be interesting is whether Active Blind Spot Monitoring info can be coded to show in HUD on MY12 if you have the Parking Pkg (ZPK). (You will not have the steering wheel vibration, as that is a separate HW piece as well.) |

This thread is destined to become an instant classic.
My gratitude to all the pioneers of F30 coding -- those of you who will pave the way for the rest of us. The prospect of being able to turn off ASS alone, not to mention what else can be done, is very exciting. Last edited by Yobyot; 05-31-2012 at 11:36 PM.. |

There's a button that looks like a plus (+) symbol that lets you attach a picture.

I think 3 feet is more than enough. The plug is at the driver side's feet area, if you sit in your car you'll be ok with 3 feet. I think mine is about the same length

Wow, you totally rock. I'm more for having ASS remember your last settings as sometimes I like having it on. Now, if you could figure out my ideal wish list I would be your best friend forever haha:
(in order) 1. Remember last drive mode selected. I mean seriously I hit it to go in Sport almost every time. 2. Enable BMW Apps. I have to imagine this is possible since my car has the combo box (assist) 3. Disable or set long delay on rear windows going down on comfort access or key fob. Sometimes i like airing out my car and then getting in and going but I have no need for the rear windows to be open (okay this may be more me missing my coupe) 4. Doubt it's programmable but I would love to have a driving mode that gives me steering and suspension of Sport with the shift points of Comfort for those days when I want to be fuel conscious but still have stiff steering |

2. I'm unsure, I think it should be able to get it done if you have all the right hardware but I haven't seen the codes for it yet. 3. I have seen the codes for this (if I'm correct about what I think you want), but haven't tested it yet. 4. Hmm.. I actually think this is somehting that could be coded as it is nothing more but hitting a switch to go from comfort to sport and sport+. I'm betting, however, that it is in that part of the code that I only look but do not touch because of all the things you could do wrong there.. perhaps at a later point (or perhaps I stumble on it by accident hehe).

Speed Limit Info
Hi folks,
First of all I would like to inteoduce me: I am a soon to be owner of the new F30 from Germany and I am really interested in coding. Thefore I would like to code my F30 as well. Thanks to svanche for all this information! Great work! Now I have one question: I have ordered my car with the extra Speed Limit Info. In anotther forum it was discussed that the Speed Limit Info extra has basically the same hardware as Lane Departure warning and High Beam Assistence in the f10. If this is the same in the F30 shouldn't it be possible to code the Features of the LDW and HBA to my F30. Any thought on this? Thank you in advance. |

I just figured I would use two 1K ohm in parallel - 500 ohm should be close enough (better than easily available 470 or 560) and I can get them at the neighborhood Radio Shack.

Wow a bunch of development on coding Svache.
Request - Front Corner Light Delete - It turns off the corner lights and only would blink when turning. I saw it on E90 forum...
