Is that an ultra-suede I see on some of the parts? If so, was that a style choice you made -- as opposed, say, to all carbon fiber -- or is that just the way BMW offer those parts when one buys the carbon fiber package?

Alcantra + CF is the only way it's made

Did you just a screwdriver for this? or more complicated tools? where did you get instructions for how to pull things apart?

for the level of fit and finish 8-900 is great deal. btw did it say carbon fiber anywhere on packaging? was the CF version of the parts lighter than the aluminium?

I assume the rear door handles can be redone as part of the same package.

Is the carbon fiber near the idrive easily scratched? I would love put this in my car but my dog walks across the trim and I wonder if it will scratch easily and if the scratches are very noticeable? Thanks.
