I feel such a fool for not noticing just how bad the standard automatic box was when I test drove it. What was I thinking about? What with the constant power interruptions and all. Tell me again - how much faster is the car with the sport auto? And to think I could have seen the difference on YouTube. Anyway, it's great to see how much you love your car and the choices you have made on the options list. Nothing wrong with a bit of enthusiasm.

Yeah, the effort is a bit lighter, but over all the steering is great, very BMW like. You really have to have it in "sport" mode to get the better heft/effort. And let's not forget that tires make a difference in steering effort and feel. Considering how many different tires are being offered by BMW on this 3, that could be making the difference in all these reviews. BTW, the F30 328i is heavier than the E90 328i. You may feel a "lightness", but that is likely due to a more rigid chassis, less flex, and moves lighter overall in handling. |
