Press Release (30.07.2012):

KW coilovers Variant 2 & 3 "inox-line" for the BMW 3-series Type 3L (F30) & BMW 1-series Type 1K4 (F20/F21)

For more than five generations the BMW 3-series is one of the most successful models of the Munich manufacturer. Also for the new BMW F30, KW automotive has developed a wide range of coilovers in high quality stainless steel finish. Depending on the variant, the KW coilover kits can be adjusted in damper characteristic by the BMW driver himself.

The reference for coilovers is the KW coilover kit Variant 3 "inox-line" which is part of the worldwide Top-aftermarket products. With its patented valve technology for the separate compression and rebound damping adjustment, it convince the demanding sports car driver, tuner, as well as large- and small series manufacturer such as Alpina, MTM, Manthey, Oettinger and other famous companies. Now the KW coilover kit Variant 3 and its other versions are also available for the latest BMW 3-series sedan.

The following coilovers we currently have in program:

Vehicles without electronic damping control

KW coilovers Variant 3 "inox-line"

KW coilovers Variant 2 "inox-line"
Part-No. 1522000D

Vehicles with electronic damping control

Can u guys describe in more detail the difference between w and w/I electronic damping control? How does it work? Does that depend on what susp we ordered from the factory?

Super stoked on these!

The EDC module is simply a deactivation kit that eliminates any dash warnings regarding the loss of the factory electronic dampening control.

It completely eliminates the electronic adjustment and replaces it with the ability to manually adjust the dampers using the knobs you see pictured.

Wow, it's amazing how quickly the manufacturers come out with these products to be first out in the market...

But, and I hate to be the downer here...it makes you think how much time/quality goes into making these things and the R&D done to ensure they perform better, provide better handling and control and better quality....and all in the short months the vehicle has been out.

Hmmmmm....

FWIW, I run the KW V3's on my E90 335 and they are fantastic. They creak and groan a bit during the first block or two when they've been sitting for a while, but do a great job of firming up the ride without jarring my fillings loose.

A company like KW has probably got a pretty good idea what's going to work before they fit the first set to the new model.

Gawd, so incredibly gorgeous from the side and back, until you see the front end. The front just kills it, who ever was in charge of designing the f30 and or e90 front end should be flogged.

Running the v2 on my e90 and the v3 on the my late z4m. They have the best ride for the streets hands down. Although I'd much appreciate it if they would update to a mono tube vs their antiquated twin tube shock design. Meh, but what do I know, they're the ones with access to a shock dyno

Anybody, know why they stuck with twin tubes?
