passenger side A/C not cold enough

In my 2014 F30 328i the A/C on the passenger side and the back is not cold enough, but is cold on the driver's side. I have tried turning the central button all the way to the blue. When I used the auto and manual A/C setting there is the same issue. I set the same temperature on both sides. There is also no air coming out of the back vent. How can I fix it?

Sounds like you have 1 maybe 2 lazy actuators in the IHKA (HVAC) unit. You need either ISTA or a decent scan tool that can operate each individual actuator and confirm their position to determine which one's are responding.

recharge your system with refrigerant. had the same problem out of nowhere several weeks back on my '15 335i. picked up a recharge kit from the parts store and it blows ice cold again. there's a lot of talk online about overcharging the system because apparently our cars use a variable displacement a/c compressor, but if you follow the directions well and stop to check the pressure every 10-15 seconds you'll be just fine.
